Guess what's been happening over the last week (and probably will for the next two). My life is now happening over the rainbow. I've been the scarecrow, the wicked witch of the west, the lion and even the apple trees in the Wizard of Oz and know the entire play (well almost) by heart. As you can see...nothing, absolutely nothing gets done, when you help your child prepare for a play.
What I found during this process is the complete version of "Over the Rainbow" sung by Ella Fitzgerald. What Judy Garland sings in the movie is only the last part of the song. Listen for yourself:
Reading the script brings back many of the fabulous quotes, such as: "But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?" Ahhh, not much has changed, has it?
I'll let you know when I emerge....
Coincidence? (-> NZZ Folio of today)
