Bolero II

Bolero

It's always nicer to see how a garment looks when on a person and not a hanger. My daughter volunteered this morning to show how the square bolero worn and although it's a little big on her, you get the idea.

There's real potential here and although I'm not a knitter, I'm tempted.

The second picture (top right) shows how she puts it on: arms through the opening and then she lifts the entire garment behind her neck.

Off to take a walk now. See you later...

  1. This is definitely the kind of garment I'd wear a lot especially on chilly summer evenings - I might try it with some knit fabric if I can find some... Thanks for sharing this lovely idea!

  3. Aha! Now I understand. I have seen these boleros around, and they always looked quite simple, but I couldn't figure out how exactly they worked. So thanks for showing us.

  5. Fabulously helpful to see this on your lovely model! I'm still not sure if the arm holes are also left open on the bottom edge but I'm willing to experiment to see!

  6. Love the shrug. I'm alread looking for knitting patterns so I can make one for myself, although I may have to use it over long sleeves since it's so cold here. Thanks for the great idea!
